Qadam dekh ke chalna,
Qadam, phir apney dekhna,
Kitney qadam lea thea meiney,
Kitney hue thee, mushkil mujhey,
Yunhi andaza lagatey rehna,
Keun ye gazab na hona,
Keh, mujhey phir bhi,
Kuch qadam baki thea,
Manzilein rastey, her ik qadam,
Rakhtey hue ehsas delatey hein her dam,
Zeest ke sachayon ko, kuch aur qadam,
Chal ke kerna hae mujh ko her dam,
Isi lea ginana hae mujhey, merey qadam,
Sochna hae zindagi ko mujhey her dam,
